I dont like how Opera is setup, plus external plugins instead of browser plugins. I also like being able to close outa FireFox and have my downloads still running.

Lol why does it matter if they watch what you search? I could care less if they watched every single page i viewed. If you work in an office your monitored all the time so this is no different.

Did you not read that? They are going to monitor it and leak the information to anybody who wants it for a price. Hmm idk about you but that is just about as invasion of privacy as big brother sitting right behind my back for no reason.

Meh, unless your trying to sell some sort of porn my search details are gonna be pretty useless.

Its the principle of things. Most people use FF over IE becasue of SECURITY. Its like the difference between using Yahoo and Google. Id rather my search information NOT be sent to the gov or anybody else for that matter. Its not like im into any serious illegal stuffs but knowing that somebody could possibly be getting any information about me is not going to happen. Its the only reason why i encrypt my wifi signal. I know everybody around here is to stupid to steal my internet but you never know what random smart person might war drive, find my signal, and pull a credit card # or something.

Goliath182

So you search for your credit card # on the internet lol.

Its not like there taking your data and passing it around the office.

everyone who i know who uses FF uses it because IE sucks lol has nothing to do with privacy, i was never even aware that IE tracked that.

Thats the thing, it will be passed around the office. Did you not read that article?

Been using Opera for about 2years now and it's a wonderful browser. There are unique features and it's solid feeling. I don't mind the china based brower one bit. BTW, Wii runs Opera too. And who doesn't love the Wii-- I mean, c'mon guys.

I dont own one so i cant exactly say i love it. Im still hating having to install stuff like flash instead of using plugins in my browser. Its quite annoying.

Its not getting passed around the office. I meant it as low level employees are getting your information and using it. Businesses are using it and if that means they make products that appeal to me then thats awesome.

I hate Opera on the Wii. Half the time Opera doesnt work, and when it does its almost unbearable to use.

I havent heard anything about this actualy being an issue right now. But if it DOES happen FireFox will be monitoring your information and giving it to anybody who needs it. IE gov and other peoples in that area.

I've been using Opera since about 2000-2001, and it meets 99% of my browsing needs. For the other 1%, I use IE. Tried FF a few times, and each time, it was simply too clunky compared to Opera. Opera FTW!

I think the one thing we all can say is Opera and Firefox are far ahead of IE. Looks like IE could be the new Netscape.

Firefox has many other things i like for instance browser plugins. I dont like installing 3rd party active X onto my PC.
