Hi everyone , I am employed as a manager in a firm. I have a problem that I had like to talk about. My system was working fine the other day, but while copying a file by nero….the system hanged and I had to restart it. But I got a disk boot failure error. Then , I tried to run a windows xp installation CD, but that is also showing some error message during installation and the installation fails.I did check the bios settings and the disk fails to show…and had it checked on another system also…but bios cannot detect the hard disk.I think the disk is damaged or something like that. The disk has important data from my company’s point of view…..that I need to recover.
Please let me know if there are any ways to get my data back from this disk!!!!

take it to a profesinal service.

Or plug in the power cable to it.

I would check the power cable more then anything if it is not showing up in the bios. Mind you may want to turn the computer off when doing that.

If is is bad enough that your bios cannot see the drive, you will have to have a professional service get the data. This could be very expensive and my not recover the data that you need. I always suggest that business backup their important data on a regular basis (I personally back up all of my work at my job weekly and my current projects are saved to the hard drive and a thumb drive)

I wish that I could give you a better answer....

Spambot. Same exact post word for word over on ThinkComputers.org I'm just waiting for the spambot to come in and reply with a handy dandy pay for utility to miraculously solve the problem, track the IPs then put the ban on them.

God damn spambots.....GRRrrrrr! I hate those freakin things. I wish there was a way to have a weapon system to track the bastards that release those and nuke their bloody village. :smile_evil: I should have realized that from the text size. They often have fonts styles and sizes preprogrammed despite the default settings on a board of forum.

There were spammers in the review section too. :???:

I hate spammers more than anything.

I think that your disk is probably damaged …cannot guess any other reason for failure. There may be some problem in the controllers or can be another thing. The best way is to get a professional team that can recover data from Bjorn (http://www.bjorn3d.com/) . They can be your best resort as they have tools and ways to get the things done.

All the best to you.

I've shot down my fair share over the years. I've seen Forums over run with Spambots.

The Bjorn team has a no tolerance policy for spam/spambots with the goal being not to let a single spammer or Spambot inhabit the community.

I'm good with that, spams going to happen as the bots get smarter, but they spend a lot of effort to get them that way, it's a pretty simple matter to shoot them down. Shoot enough down and the originator will go else where.

Jesus, those spams look so real too. I was just checking out the board, trying to help with t-shoot posts when I ran into this one. I started to read into thread replies and blam-o.....it's a bot!

Do people like buy this stuff from staples or something? Are there evil code-makers from the former soviet union trying to sell their products? What is up with these crazy bots?
