I got a few questions.
1 What are the advantages of having your mobo upside down and backwards.
2 Is there any?
3 Whats a good BTX case?
4 Can i buy a BTX case and put a standard ATX mobo in it?
Thanx.

I don't know about the upside down and backwards thing.
The Thermaltake Armor has a BTX upgrade panel. Seems to me like with the PSU at the top of that tower it'd be kinda unhandy though.
For a tower with the PSU at the bottom or bottom front there might be some advantages cabling.

Compatibility with ATX products
The BTX form factor is largely incompatible with the ATX form factor. The only area where this doesn't fully apply is in power supply support. ATX power supplies can be used with regular or full-sized BTX motherboards. Neither the power connectors nor the direction of airflow from the power supply fan has been changed.
I dont think that without the proper kit you could.

Most of the Lian-li cases are inverated ATX which is kinda like BTX.
No advantages really, just different?

I guess thats what i meant was inverted ATX. Where you open the other side panel to get to the motherboard and stuff and its all upside down and backwards.
Mounting a GPU in BTX (or upside ATX) is better for cooling, since heat rises, the heat will naturaly rise away, instead of becoming trapped in the PCB. (Also, apparently BTX has naturaly better air flow in cases then atx? Straight through linear?)

My friends Dell case is BTX. I was looking at it and besides needing some modifications to the IO im pretty positive i can put my board in there.

They are better for airflow. I literally have a wind tunnel in my pc. it goes right over my two processor heat syncs and keeps them really cool. Plus you can see the top of your graphics card.

It is a awesome case in function, not so much looks. It keeps my processors under 30 C on air when their both right next to each other. Their heat syncs are practically touching each other. Cant imagine this case with one CPU and one huge chunk of copper.

Heres one on ebay with a 1KW PSU. The PSU's that these come with are pretty nice actually. The price isnt that bad considering it comes with a 1KW PSU.

probably be a lot lighter lol. I need to cut a hole in mine so i can see inside. That and cut a hole in my wind tunnel and put a LED in front of the fan.

Well when i did it, i was like 14 so not to stable with a saw or anything. I also added 4 holes under the window for 4 80mm fans which also made the steel really unsturdy. The fiberglass cracked as soon as i put the rivots in and everything. I was quite unsatisfied with my work and never tried a window mod again. With more knowledge on the subject i prolly can now cause ive done loads of other case mods but my case already has a window in it :)
