http://www.legitreviews.com/images/reviews/477/nvidia_680i_lt.jpg I have a 680i and just noticed that one of the heatsinks (one above the cpu socket with fins) is wobbly when i move it side to side, not very loose, just wobbly. I took out the mobo and looked in the back of the mobo to see if the push pins for the heat sink were in all the way, and they were. Under the heatsink there is a thermal pad that looks like it can be easily peeled off. When i turn on the pc it makes a weird buzzing sound, it is not a fan, not the power supply (already RMA'd it thinking it was) and i dont know what it is. I never turned on the computer since i found out the heatsink was wobbly, is it supposed to be a bit wobbly? since one of my mobo fans (small one on left side of the pic) is also a little wobbly with the push pin things fully inserted correctly. :jawdrop:

Its ok for them to be a little wobly actualy. If that heat pad was double sided thermal tape then no thats not ok but if its just a pad then expect it to wobble.

As for that sound it sounds like your having a PWN problem and i would RMA imediately before your CPU or RAM gets hammered by voltage.

What is the make of the heatsink you are using?
