Does deleting a partition and a full format erases raid?

When i was dissecting an old pc to build a new one I forgot to return the hard drives to their non raid state. Plugging them back in is no option, simply because the system is gone :ahhhhh:
I want to start fresh and therefore i would like to know how to return the drives to a clean - read non raid - state.

Deleting the partition and formating in most cases will take care of it. Some times you have to rewrite the MBR but you can do that buy booting of and XP cd and going into recovery console and typing FIXMBR

Turn off raid in BIOS, install OS.
