Hey guys,

Never really messed around that much with OC'ing my hardware just because I never really wanted to risk the damage or wear'n'tear. I don't want to do any drastic overclocking, I just want to boost the settings to a safe level and tweak the system so that it is running it's "A" game.

Specs:

Mobo: XFX 680i LT SLI
Processor: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 Bx 2.4GHz@1066FSB
Ram: Corsair XMS Dominator 4GB PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066) DDR2
Video Cards: 2x EVGA eGeForce 8800GT 512mb DDR3 in SLI mode
Power Supply: OCZ Game XStream 700w SLI-ready

Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks.:icon_tiphat:

Take a hammer to that motherboard would be a good start... Okay seriously just go to youtube and do a search for overclocking a Q6600 and you will have a couple videos come up that will actually show you how to do it with bios settings and all. Good luck!

Here I did it for you....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XBn76llOuk

Haha, what don't you like about the mobo?

Thanks for the link!

Ah it's not me with the mobo. It's the rest of the people I have heard complaining about it about a number of things. I never even looked at one close up so I cannot really say anything and the people complaining could be retarded for all I know so yeah...Just me being a jackass as usual. I am always joking around and will say random things. Hopefully those videos will help you out though. I find it better to visually show someone instead of typing it as there can be many differences in the bios etc. At least these hopefully will get you started in the right direction.
