Who wants to share how they came up with their user name?
Back in '97 after my divorce I was shopping to refill my home with stuff, the EX took most of what she could, but I got the house! Anyway, I buddy stopped by and stated "Man, you got a lot of electronic gizmos". From that statement Gizmo-guy was born!

Ive always had PP Mguire since my JR year in high school. Its literaly what alot of people put in their phone for me. We where on a band trip to an away game (going to, not coming back) and i was sitting in a seat with my gf and 2 of my friends where sitting behind us. Next thing i know they are like HEY we got a nickname for you. Becasue we where in a band and the rest had nicknames cept me so they where out on a hunt for one. They yelled PP Mguire and even had a song for it.

Well as far as I go my older nick was Mastamune.
I used to like the sword called the Masamune (From Chrono trigger)
But anyways I believe it means master sword but I am not sure.
Anyways long story short when I tried registering on sony-station.com back in the days to play Infantry and Tanarus which was the first game I downloaded when i got my first computer.
Anyays Masamune and Mastermune were always popular nicks taken so I went for Masta Mune instead of Master.
But in the long run, since im french canadien it didnt matter much in the states but in French you can call someone a Moumoune (which is kinda like saying your gay)
And playing a lot with my clan mates back when I played tactical ops (Game which I won several cups and without bragging we had the BEST clan in the world but sadly it wasnt much of a popular game...)
So I was looking for another nick.
My second car after my RX7 85 was a black BMW 318I and on the motor there was a sticker saying Schwarz II.
I have used Schwarz II as a nick but slowly it became Schwarz only.
And thats why I still use it today.
Another funny fact is that if I have a choice of color, I always go for black which is what Schwarz mean in German.

Oh yea before i got that nickname my forums name used to be Nvidia Fanboy. That didnt turn over so well lol.

Well ever since I was like 7 I thought Mikecool (Michael) was a great name, then when I started playing Runescape Mikecool was taken so I mixed my AIM/Email name mikerider123 with mikecool and got mikercool (Miker-cool). Then I matured and dropped the "cool" to become just miker.

Some kids at school started calling me coxmaster in like 6th grade or so.. I guess it was supposed to be an insult but i picked up on it and now people fear the name online :P

Cox is my last name btw...

the_dope_show was taken up pretty much everywhere so I picked up the_ dope_chaud (chaud is hot in french) (when you pronounce it in french, it sounds the same as show)

Not alot of thought into mine really. When i was building my rig i was reading directions on applying thermal paste properly on the Arctic silver site. Than i found this forum and was the first thing that came to mind when registering. I am so original :)

When I was in grade 6 one of our class projects involved making a hotmail address and using it to mail our teacher... our email we created was supposed to be easily identified by the teacher as to who it belonged too. At first I tryed using only my name (tyler@...) wich was available way back then. But the teacher insisted I not just use my name. The 6 was right near the "R" and it was what grade I was in too. pretty simple.

.... Oh yea and a bunch of my graphic buddies think its cool, LOL or has something to do with design... Nope.

Mine was pretty easy, I was getting ready to play a RPG and needed a character name.

Scorpion King was on the tube, The Rocks name was Methious (probably spelled different) and it's been Methious ever since.

I've yet to find a forum or game where it's taken unless I registered and forgot.

my last name is huynh and my first name starts with a C. I first got huynhc as an email assigned to me from my old college. I used to use nicknames back on AOL and IRC as "bought" as a spin of a bot (used on IRC to keep channels under your control and such). My first handle was ZeRo\oReZ like from the movie hackers! Thats back when I thought I was a 13 year old hacker. As I grew up and out of computers for awhile and went off to college, I decided to stick with huynhc for professional reasons. Many professors wouldnt answer my emails when i used my HotXDudE69@hotmail.com email (joke here..) so I always used my huynhc email to keep it professional and so they knew who I was when I emailed anyone. The name stuck and now I have converted all my old forum names and such to huynhc.
