I just got a p35 Asus P5KC X38 was out and X48 was out, I reach 3.6 with a quad Q6600 run ddr3 at 1600and ddr2 800 at 1066 and it's smokin. It's smokin at around $200 less than the aforementioned boards.

Sometimes the new technology is an evolution of existing technology, in the case of X38 a minor improvement, X48 for better ddr3 support, then most of the X48 boards support ddr2 what's up with that?
