I see a lot of people have gotten 8600gt/s for their 7900gt/s.
I realise that although i paid over £400 for my card the replacement is based on performance comparison but! the ram specs are rubbish plus the card is worth less than £100 is this fair? shouldnt it be based on cost paid minus use of the card if any? Does xfx offer refunds? I would rather have another 7950gx2 than a 8600gt/s despite its dx10. I dont know i just feel i will get more raw power out the 7950gx2, am i being silly? need to look into it more i guess.

I am not exactly sure what Europe is using for a replacement (much of it depends on stock), however I do not think you will be getting a 8600GTS as a replacement for your 7950GX2.

I would have to guess a 8800GT, 8800GTS, or 9800GTX.

I sure hope i get the 8800 range atleast. The 9800 well i dont know about that lol wishful thinking i think. I would be happy with a good 8800. thank you tech support and miker. :-D

9800GTS.
Last time i checked Nvidia didnt have a 9800 GTS.
You would probably get a 8800 because the 9800GTX is quite a margin better than a 7950 GX2.

Well if I were to guess, the most logical choice would maybe be a 8800GS or 9600GT, but I dont work for XFX "yet" :ahhhhh: so I really am just throwing a guess out into the darkness.

7950GT's in SLI will outperform a single 7950GX2, and over clock higher too. PP is looking for a single card solution so that is why he is willing to trade. ;-)

lol, well good luck with that. I would sell the cards and buy a single card, although i realise they would be difficult to sell i think.
Thanks for your comments guys i will post back with what they offer.

Not really that hard to sell, just post them up on some forums, or if you have a ebay account i know that they will sell there. The GX2 has a buy it now price of 200$ and the GT has one of 100$ so youd be getting like the same amount.
