I've used the 8500GT for about three months. It was bought on buy.com (google checkout), so I'm sure it isn't faulty.
The problem is that when I turn on my computer clicking the power button, it takes about 10 seconds to make a beep (it normally takes like two), and then the monitor says "no signal". I turned my computer off with holding the power button and I uninstalled the 8500GT from my computer. Then, I reinstalled my integrated 6100, which worked successfully. Then, after that, I installed it with the windows new hardware installer, and so I restarted. After that, I found out that I LOST MY LOCAL CONNECTION! (I have XP and I'm wired to my router.. My ISP is Verison Fios) It just wasn't there at the "Network Connection" place! So I had to reformat my computer.. Which took a huge amount of time, and then my local connection was back. After that I tried to re-install my 8500GT but I forgot to change my monitor cord to port to my 8500. It took about 10 sec to beep, but I can see the screen. I then noticed I forgot to change the port, so I turned off my computer and changed the monitor port to direct to the 8500GT. Then it still said "No Signal" on my monitor!

Help? :]

That's usually a bad graphics card. Get with the manufacturer and see about doing an RMA on it.

I have seen people get 8600GTs that are 8500GTs marked as 8600GTs from buy.com, so I don't really trust it.
