The original Guitar Canon in D and arragement you can hear was made by Johny C.
You may know that already but that kid is pretty good too.
Here is the first version of it that has been replayed by so many people on youtube
There are also variations of tha canon in D guitar rock.

Idk how to put it in short why i want to quit. But ill just try this and see if you guys understand.

When i was 14, i had my $3500 guitar (SIN, My Flying V) a full stack, and a few pedals. My parents (Mainly my dad) forked over alot of cash for the guitar side of my playing. THey all thought i would do something with it and go somewhere. Looking back on that it makes me realize how stupid i really was becasue at his age i had been playing a little over a year and could have been 2x better than that. Meaning, i could be so much better now 7 years later. It just ashames me becasue i thought other things where so important and with knowing what i know about record labels my dream i once had (why i picked up guitar, not for girls) i know ill never do. Becasue of my thought process back then i also gave up alot of opportunities that could have sling shotted my guitar career. But, i didnt. THen seeing this it really puts a damper on things. And, i just dont raelly enjoy playing anymore. If anybody needs anymore further explination ill copy and paste a convo i had with my best friends gf last night.

I didn't think you were serious! I thought you were just joking...:ahhhhh:

Anyway, if that's how you feel, I'm not going to argue with that.

I personally think that if you're didn't become a proffesional guitar player, that's probably isn't your destiny in life and this is how it meant to be.

Just don't give up on it completely and give it always as your hobby...;-)

Id keep it as a hobby but with pressures it makes it unenjoyable anymore. For instance wanting to do certain Solos but i cant. And then other people wanting me to do insane covers and i cant.

Don't take it too hard on yourself. Just to make the best out of it and try to enjoy it. That's all that matters. If you stop enjoying it, it's not a hobby anymore. And stop thinking what other people think and don't listen to others. Always think that you're good and never compare yourself to others...;-)

I know/heard what you worth and believe me, YOU'RE GOOD...VERY GOOD!

Always thinking your good makes you big headed lol. Ive always been the opposite. Think i suck. And i play my guitar for everybody else not me. Thats the whole idea. If your not a musician its really hard to understand where im coming from.

There's a point in what you're saying, because if you'll always think you're 'the best', you'll never improve. But, I'm just saying, don't judge yourself too much...;-)

Anyway, You're right, I guess I'll never really understand, as I've never been a musician and actually I pretty suck at playing guitar...

When I was 15 (now turning 32 soon) I had a dream to become a guitar player, but after learning to play guitar for a few months, which cost me a lot of pain in my finger tips, I decided I just wasn't born for it and gave up on the whole idea...

But I'm focusing on what I'm good at...computers I mean.

Yea that stuffs pretty awesome. Not my style though. My big deal is just knowing i COULD have been ebtter than that kid at 14 but instead i figured other things where more important. Ive only been seriously playing about a year though becasue i picked it back up after my last serious relationship went down the tube.

I'm learning guitar but some say guitar is the instrument that needs the most concentration and motivation. You really have to get into it and try hard. Its so hard. I only got distortion and overdrive pedals. Guitar is just hard. I can't seem to know what I should do next and next and next.

Also, I've seen that guy and he had a violin experience. He is kind of rushing though. I bet'ya that most professional guitarists would yell at him or say something at him if he was to get lesson. I think hes rushing. Hes very good though.

You tend to rush when you record for some reason. Watch me playing Second Heartbeat on Youtube. I started to rush lol. But then again, i was also headbanging really bad and not even really looking at the neck.

What gear do you have dumdum? I have a few pedals myself. It never hurts to have to many toys i say! If you really enjoy guitar stick to it! Yea its hard to get started but once you get the basics down and learn your neck (I repeat LEARN YOUR NECK) it gets really simple. After that its a case of learning different licks a book cant teach you.
