Ordered bare bones system from tiger direct. Installation no problem, system has been great, stable for 6 months not even a BSOD. Yesterday I left it running overnight, and when I came back the computer was off. I turn it on, and I get a repeating reboot loop.
System:
nforce 680i LT
Intel D 925 3Ghz DT
Ultra 600w X-Finity PSU
(2)Crucial 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz
geforce 8500 GT 256mb
seagate 400gb HD
Here`s exactly what happens: I hit the case power switch, all fans come on. I get solid yellow, green, and blue LED`s on the motherboard. Signal to the monitor seems ok, the "XFX play hard" splash screen shows up. Then the system immediately restarts... splash screen, reboot etc. All 3 LED`s remain solid throughout. It never gets to windows loading screen, and I can`t get into BIOS.
I have tried:
*starting with each (of 2) memory sticks in all 4 slots
*swapping out entirely different RAM sticks
*tried a different power supply, and tested the original on a different computer. It works fine.
*changed GPU
*removed motherboard battery for 1 hour and cleared CMOS
*removed motherboard from case and connected all power cables, 1 confirmed working RAM stick in DIMM 0, and GPU (GeForce 8500 GT 256MB)
*reapplied thermal paste to CPU
*dusted entire system
Every action has resulted in the same reboot loop. I am completely stumped. This is a great system, never had any hardware problems. Any help would be very much appreciated!
