Im not for shure whats going on here, but for some reason i'll be surfing the internet and all of the sudden my Aim,Xfire, or Hamachi will disconnect. Is this because of my OS? My internet connection is just perfect. What could be going on??

Do you use a hardware or software firewall?

Either of those have tendancies to abruptly cut services to programs for no reason if not configured correctly.

I had the same problem when I moved, and got on high speed from dial up. It was from having a bad router, games played ok, Internet worked fine but IM programs always crashed out,

Some IM programs tend to flake out more than others, but if this affects all of them... are you running P2P or torrents in the background? If you are then you are probably exceeding the built in connections limits Microsoft builds into Windows.

The only thing that is running on the internet is Internet Explorer,Firefox,Outlook Express,Xfire,AIM, and Hamachi. And I have ran more internet programs before than im running now. And all my torrents are not running.

Are you running right out of the modem or through a router?
