This June I am giving away a Tagan Monolize Case. You can read about the case here (http://www.tagan.com/index.php?c_id=36&products_id=160&p_cata_id=86).
Rules are as follows.
1. Must complete 10 WU's for the Bjorn3D Folding@Home Team to have you name in the drawing. Our Folding Team is # 41608
2. Must have a USA/Canada shipping address.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: For every 10 work units you do I will put another slip of paper with your name on it for the drawing.
Pretty Simple.
Good luck,
Scott

Like I said before, the only rig I can fold on, is the one at home and since my wife is using it most of the day, I currently can't fold too much on it.
I'm still trying to arrange a PC at work that I'll be able to fold on 24/7...
Anyway, I think I'll pass this one. Otherwise, I'm not sure whether I'll be able to complate 10 WUs in a month, although it's not that much...
GOOD LUCK everyone! :icon_tiphat:

Hadn't heard anything has my 24/7 helped you out with what you were looking for??
I started back with 1091 pts on the books I'm at 7366 now, all but 400 pts was done on the 3870, the 400 on cpu client (very slow) compared to the GPU. So a total of 5875 so far minus 400 for cpu client and minus the 1091 I already had. Of course by the time you read this I will most likely be over 8000.
I'm right under you on PPU and that here on this link...not bad...of course your running the gtx280 most likely.

well i am doin 11 - 12 a day on my machine ( WU's ) . considerin i started @ 06-11-2008, 05:14 PM ( give or take a few mins . and i am allready @ 77 with 1 machine 1 process . ( it says 4 bc i redid machine twice and i had to redo f&h stupid comp ..... ) so not bad for a ATI card ....

06-16-2008, 06:00 PM
Yea my toxic is putting out about 2200 pts per day figuring it by pts total and dividing by the days ran. on 24hrs from start time to the end of 24hrs. (I.E. 11am to 11am)
Raptorfury
06-16-2008, 06:29 PM
how many wu's ? bc points vary from wu to wu .. the only thing stayin the same is the amount of iterations per wu . most or all of mine hangin round the 10,000,000 mark ...
Dragon_CPU
06-16-2008, 07:12 PM
Ok as of last update I have 8710....and 85 wu's 44 of which I had previous so as of right now In just over 72hrs I have done 41 wu's and gained 7619 points.
8710 minus the previous pts. of 1091 that I had === 7619 for 41 wu's
At this rate on an estimate in 10 days I would be around 30000 pts putting me around the top 40.

Yeah nothing like heat and an OC'd Q6600...lol. You should get an A/C unit for just your room. Tell your parents that if they want to suffer with the heat it is their choice and they should not have to burden you with such a bad decision. But yeah I cannot wait to see what the really hyped up 4870X2 can do. They have been bragging about this chip for awhile now. It better melt my face off or I'll kick ATI in the nuts!

Welcome aboard Nacelle! You will soon see that the members here are pretty damn good to each other and is almost like a family in some respects helping each other out on many levels. The more you fold the better the chances you have of winning. It's not too often in life where you get to kill a bunch of birds with a single stone.
Bird#1: Great members and staff.
Bird#2: Great prizes to win that is fair.
Bird#3: Great cause to help in medical research.
Bird#4: Did I mention great prizes and great members?

Well after reading this (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/?nav=IMAGES) from the link I tried it in my signature but could not get it to work because the codes are not accepted on this site. So I saved it as a .gif file and used it as a sig image instead. Only downfall is I have to keep updating from time to time. Here is yours..

I said screw it and I put my Celeron L up for folding. It is doing much better than the Pentium M too. I thought, it is already used, I cant loose much more value.
Too bad my board wont overclock as I get I can get a lot more folding out of it.
At least the board supports Crossfire. ;(

How will this be counted? because if I would wish I could just screw up with the drivers and then get thousands of EUEs, and nobody will ever know that I never finished those units. How are the number of tickets for the price determined then?

Thats a good question.. I know jellyrole completely like 3000 WU's in one day b/c of some driver errors, so it'll be interesting to see how scott counts

I think most of us who have had driver issues have not done anything deceitful to get the endless eue's. I much rather have a stable client than those darn EUE's.

06-25-2008, 07:19 PM
When I used to have this problem on my Pentium 4 system, when I was using a CPU to fold, I got this error message when the processor was overclocked and it was not stable. Once I lowered the speed, It stopped doing it.
I know you have tried that Typh4u, but I would try reinstalling the driver you have. I changed my motherboard yesterday do a different one and I got 10 EUEs because the video drivers was screwed up. Windows recognized everything and it seems like it was working right, even games worked right, but once I reinstalled the driver, it got back to standard folding.
I am using the 177.39 64-bit Vista driver with the modified inf file. I am using a 8800GTS from XFX, and my sister is using the 174.55 driver or something like that with her 8500GT, and we never got any EUEs too.
So I don't know what the problem could be exactly.
But I am still wondering about how the WUs will be counted because of this.
typh4u
06-25-2008, 08:18 PM
I think Scott should ignore June 18-19th for me at least. Those are the days that my system said I folded thousands of WU's. The rest of the days are pretty stable. I just have to restart the client every 3 hrs. When the latest beta version 8 came out I uninstalled the client, ran driver cleaner reinstalled the drivers and then installed the new client. Still get Unstable machine errors. I am however not getting EUE errors. So things are looking up.

Well the ones I go to we usually manage to find some old CRTs around a garage or something. Kind of fun in its own way deciding who gets the 15inch CRT and who gets the 17 inchers, lol.
Now since I got a light 19inch LCD, I can just bring that with me if I really needed to.

Sweet, I would think you would want to reinforce the sheet metal or find a way to tie it directly into the chassis though.
Maybe if the metal was thin. But the case in the picture has pretty thick metal. The airflow sux though. Had to use HD cooler and drill holes in the front.

have never been to a lan party. i understand you bring your comp but what about monitors?Every LAN I've ever been to, you have to bring everything. Back in the day of CRT's, I made a strap to carry it too. With cords and stuff in a gym bag, I could carry everything in one trip.

GREAT NEWS!!! :-D I've just started folding again for Bjorn3D team. ;-)
I stopped folding for the last 2-3 months since I left my workplace for a better one and at the beginning I didn't feel comfortable folding on my pc at work, but now, after three months in my new job, I think that nobody really cares whether I'll run two instances of Folding @ Home on my workplace desktop.
Regarding my PC at home, my wife still uses it most of the time, so I don't think I'll fold on it too much...
Anyhow...Folding at the moment!!! :keepfolding: guys...:icon_tiphat:
