Yes, but the process will depend on how he has the clips in the DVD and/or your software. If he has them as just regular mpegs you can copy and paste. If he created them in a DVD format you will need some software to convert from the DVD format to an avi. or wmv. The one that I use now to backup my DVD’s is 123 CopyDVD. You have four options: WMV, DivX (avi), Xvid (avi) or MPEG4. I think I bought it at Staple’s for about $20. You can also download some software to do the same thing but most likely it will limit you to 5 minutes or so and it might put a watermark on your video.

Well CopyDVD did not work :( Im giving AutoGK a go right now.
I think he used Windows Movie Maker or Easy DVD creator or something lame like that. All i know is it has a simple menu to choose from any of the clips and its in Video_TS format and all that. You know what i mean.

I forgot to mention that when you are opening a DVD video in AutoGK, the ".IFO" file is what you are looking for.

Depending on how long the DVD video(s) are, opening the ".IFO" file instead of a ".VOB" file will open the whole video instead of just open one part of the whole video.

You must have misunderstood me. Its a whole slew of individual video clips on one DVD put together in DVD format with a menu.

I used AutoGK to open the .vob file and it worked. Thanx alot Werty.
