If you've seen my previous case then you may know, this is heaven & hell difference. :)

See,first time ever i've tried to do what you pro guyz call " Cable Management ". Please don't laugh,it's only my first attempt & i'll have to learn with time but the temperatures have decreased dramatically with this case.I know it could have been a bit better though. Thanks to the sheer size of the case & the room inside, four 120mm fans & a huge 230mm intake fan. Here's some pics of the case & cables inside.

Those cable holders there, they have a adhesive back once you peel off the label. You might want to stick those to the case instead.

Not bad for a first attempt. ;-) Nice decrease on temps.

TBH some of the cables are way to tight. SATAs are pulled sideways and stuff.

oh man, You make me feel shameful when I look at that and think of my mess right now :help:!!

Lookin good. You want more intake than exaust though.

Actually i've not changed the default fan's locations attached by Cooler Master. There is one LED 120mm intake fan on the front & a 200mm side intake fan but all the rest of the fans which CM has attached as exhaust (three 120 mm fans, one at the bottom, one at rear & 1 at the top).Do you think, the top fan should be workin' as intake or exhaust ? There are still provision for 2 more 120mm fans at the top.

It's a vast improvement over your old case, and the wiring looks ok to me. I think I might get that case when I get that $400 CSX store gift certificate in the mail

Do you have a dremel set? I will give you some pro tips. Cut a slot in the motherboard tray under the motherboard near the power pluggin and the sata pluggins. So that's two slots about 3/4"X2" (make sure they are at least one inch from the side of the motherboard so it does not get noticed). Then you route all your power cables through the slot you have at the bottom of your motherboard tray. You want to keep as many wires from being visible as possible. Another thing you might want to get is a nice sleeving kit so that all the wires (except sata cables) are nice and uniform. Route the sata cables under the motherboard and out the back then back in again at the slot's near the drives. The power for the motherboard from under the motherboard and plug it in. After you have routed your wires for the motherboard you can secure it down. You cannot do it screwed in. Another nice touch is if you paint the inside all black and use all nice black professional sleeving kits. That way whatever is exposed it pretty much goes unnoticed. Not bad though for a first time. Practice makes perfect and use a little imagination. :thumleft:

Its much better sush that your "crappy cabinet" as you always say but I think you might have rushed your installation since you didn't take out the piece of paper that is on the motherboard tray. You should have taken it out before you installed the motherboard.

Also did you forget to take off the packing styrofoam on the handles too?

Yeah actually i'm not physically very ok.So, i've tried whatever i could do at the first try but it took me several hours & yes, i've earlier forgot to remove the paper & when i've noticed that,i thought that is it really mandatory to take that paper out ? I mean,i thought that paper shouldn't affect anything in the case. So, i didn't bother removing that. And i've actually kept those styrofoams on the handles intentionally because i live near a very busy & noisy street & there's lot of dust which gets accumulated on my devices & i have to clean them everyday. So, i'll keep the styrofoams as long as they aren't getting dirty. Then i'll have to remove them. You know, sometimes we like to keep our things as new as we get them. :) Thanks for your comments Werty. :)

Sada great suggestions but the problem is , i can't find any Dremel set here in my country/city.I've searched earlier also but most of the hardware shops reacted like they have never heard what a dremel is.I think, i'll have to get it imported from somewhere else but i still don't own a credit card.Let's see. Thanks for your nice suggestions. :)

The hardware shops might not know what the "Dremel" brand is but they might know if you ask them about "rotary" tools instead.

Your cable management looks fine and as long as your cables look nice and clean, which they do, I wouldn't worry about getting a dremel tool.

Thanks werty.I'll try that instead. :) Also like to tell you that i'm still pretty much unsure of dremelling this new case.As i also don't know much about the dremels & i've never used them, i have a fear that i may damage the motherboard tray.

Okay then.....Since you never used a dremel then I would not suggest you use one. It will take a finger off pretty quick! You can route the power wires behind the motherboard though and that would actually clean it up a bit more. Once I am done my build here and post the pics you will see the work I have done for cable management. It looks like it has no wires when it is all plugged in. It may help you with ideas for yourself.

looks good man, yea i wouldnt dremel that new puppy either

why do u have like an extender for the 24pin PSU conector, it doesnt reach?

sushrukh
06-16-2008, 09:41 AM
The 24-pin extender is for the top touch panel Drakorb. The touch panel (power,USB,IEEE 1394,E-Sata,Headphone & Mic) which is at the top of the case, requires the extender to be used to power themselves.

Very Nice, I like your new case. I didn't even know that you got a new case till today. :) Temperatures look a lot better too. Don't worry about the cable management, mine sucked a lot more, although maybe you could not see it as much because I was using a mid tower case before which covered it up the mess most of the time. it is harder to do cable management in a full tower case. Funny thing is that I never used any ties, or sticky tapes or anything like this for my cable management and it still looks reasonable nice. You did an excellent job Sushrukh. :)

Thanks Peter. :) Btw, your Stacker 830 isn't full tower ? I thought it was so when i saw you posted the picture of it earlier.

Thanks Peter. :) Btw, your Stacker 830 isn't full tower ? I thought it was so when i saw you posted the picture of it earlier.

Um, actually it is a full tower, I was talking about my Thermaltake Soprano DX case which was a mid-tower.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119136, here is the stacker, that's what I have although without that PSU.

That looks like a pretty good job. I really like ur side fan.

sushrukh
06-23-2008, 09:52 AM
Thanks Bobletman. :) The 200mm side fan came with the case. :) I'll try to add two more top fans later but i'm thinking of using 5 LED fans replacing the normal ones. :)

Here is an example of some pretty good 'Pro Style' wire management. I say pretty good because the motherboard power cord is not sleeved so it loses points for that but notice the wires are hidden. Cuts in the motherboard tray behind the motherboard can hide an awful lot of wires and can only see the ends. This is not mine but someone else's build.

That is 'pro style' there. Not many people can do that. It takes allot of patience and time. It's also nearly impossible to do it without a modular PSU.

That looks really good, I've got to get around to some wire management in my Antec 900..it's pretty bad.

and its not very practicle ... IMO thats way too much management ... sush i like how you have your case lined out . good job :)

Thanks Raptor. :) And thanks Sada 4 the picture.Hope i could even near that. That wire management is the best i've ever seen. :) I wonder why the case manufacturers don't keep a hole (on the tray under the motherboard area) where many big cables can be routed.
