New Contest Format Starting in July.

Well I want to really start whipping up on some of these other Folding teams. So with that in mind any one that can get there Folding@Home 24 hour score to average over 2000 will get there name put in the hat twice.

Also going to do a more work unit requirement going to 15 work units a month and for every extra 15 you do get your name in the hat again. I want Bjorn3D to start kicking some rears and this may help.

Awesome, great idea Scott. Since folding doesn't help you win a prize maybe you should fold a little less. I max out at around 4000 so maybe you should stay around 3000.

Really though its a nice incentive for people to fold more.

That works for me I can put out 15 in just a little over 24hrs so I should get my name in the hat quite often.....Does that work for the other contest of 10 a month also....if so that means I should have my name in the hat about 5 times already....

Actually i am screwed I thought i was gonna have a ps3 another quad and a 4850 and 4870 folding for me by the end of the month. That plan is looking grim right now. My local buddies have failed me. They decided to save their money for animeexpo, which i am tempted to go to also.

This is great. I love the way the next contests will be set up. Although I have one question. Do you have to have a 2000+ points per day the whole month or is it enough to have it just for several days? Bjorn3D is already rising pretty fast in the rank too. :)

The 2000PPD average is only for the extra entry so no, you don't necessarily need to maintain an average 2000PPD unless of couse you want the extra entry ;)

I think it's about the shader speed. At 1987 (85%fan), my 9800gtx folds at 6513.23 ppd (FahMon 2.3.2b) and at 6048 (FahSpy 1.5.0). At 1963 (auto fan), 6513.23 FahMon, but 5773 FahSpy. I am curious as to how the 280gtx folds oc'd.

I guess you are on the bad luck side then. Um, you could still finish up 15 in a month I would say. I remember when I only used a Pentium 4 overclocked to 4.1Ghz, I was able to get in around 21-26 work units a month. You should still be able to enter the contest.

umm on the 200points per day that not gonna be easy especially when my gpu cliient currently does 10 or so in a 24 hour period . 10 x 128 = 1280 points , also i play games and such so i turn it off during these times .

I got tired of watching my WU production 'flatline' because some people are making them at such at an amazing rate! So I rebuilt a couple of my machines. I'm dying in this sauna but hey! My line no longer completely flat! :D

My top machine now is a 6850 running on Ubuntu with a... CL5434 graphics card. :) If you don't know what that is, just know that the CPU has more cache than this graphics card has ram. :)

Thats ok besides the 8800GT that I'm adding this week to go with my 9800GTX I will also be adding a Q6700 to my machine...time to start pumping...

Nope, max resolution is 800x600 @ 61 hz. :) I'm not even sure it supports 24 bit colors :)

But it works, it's stable, I've had it since 1995, and unless I win a video card that's what I will keep on using till it bursts in flames. :)
