Hey, when you are done with that can you send the catolg to me? I would love to try and price match it at bestbuy lol. It would work to since we have a compUSA down the street!

I'm going to see if Compusa will match the price or not. They can't do much about it since I have it on paper and it's not online. If they'll match it, I'll order as many as they'll let me.

Think of 4 of these cards in crossfireX lol. Crysis would actually be playable at all high settings at the highest of resolutions!

lol, I just called them and before I could finish the product number he told me "you must be looking at the catalog and saw the 3870 X2 for $114.99. It's a misprint and we won't honor it."

It's got to be cheaper than wholesale price.

Photobucket isn't down. I can visit their site and use their services with no problems. And apparently everybody else can see the pics just fine. I'm not sure what's going on on your side of things. :-?

Since they printed it, they have to honor it.

:D, I picked the add up (went to my grandparrents for dinner and got it there.)

So far I got a "maybe" in a price match from the bestbuy near me. but the circut city was pretty much "*** you and jump off a bridge."

The compusa though is nearly two hours away so thats ... a $250 card after gas >_> not realy worth it since I dont even need all my 9600GT either.

It's worth it just to resell it. You can at least get $300 for a brand new still-sealed-in-box 3870 X2. I could easily sell that particular model for $340 off craigslist.

Good point if they accept. Best Buy usually checks with the other retailer before matching prices, though. If Compusa tells them it's a misprint you're jacked.

If I had any Compusa stores next to me I would have went. But sadly, all Compusa stores closed here on the west coast. I don't have much hope in Fry's matching it either.

The store who had it printed that way has to honor it . misprint or not . they should have been more careful ...

No, they don't. Walk into a Home Depot or Wal-Mart any day of the week and they will have a big sign with an ad correction whenever they misprint something. They are not bound by law to honor a misprint.

That's what I'm thinking. Compusa would probably be at a big loss if they sell the card at that price. They probably buy the card wholesale around $200 or so themselves.

if you look at ads, they will have some fine print saying they are not held liable for missprints....so your lucky if they honor it, but there is no legal binding to it.

First off All Compusa stores are closed. Tiger Direct purchased the COMPUSA name thats why their sites are so similar. As for bestbuy or any other price matching they would contact them and then your screwed albeit nothing illegal about what you did.

What I would do is find out if your state or locality has a specific law pertaining to printed advertisements. If so you may be able to force it down Tigers Throat.

haa haa the rep at bestbuy just told me, if compusa (tg) honors it, they will price match it. lol.

Exactly, and we know that they won't so you can kiss that price good bye. I think for you to even have a chance at getting them to honor that price you have to be one of the first to act on it lol
