I got my motherboard, plugged up all the connetions, and when I turned it on, I got nothing but a blue LED. So I started searching the forums here and came across this this one. http://www.bjorn3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23655

In the post he describes the exact same thing I encountered. Does anyone know the solution to his problem? I'm curious if it had something to do with any of his other components? I ask this cause I have already RMA my board and if it comes back and does the same thing then I made a mistake and it's something else of mine. We have the some of the same components such as the Q9450, Antec Quattro(but 1000w), along with OCZ branded memory(4gb but at PC2 6400).

Thanks.

what does your post say, bet it's ff. Try re seating every thing, ie cpu memory etc

That's the werid part, only the blue LED came on. No post or error code given.

I have tried the PSU in another computer and it worked fine. I have triple checked and made sure everything is connected too. Still nothing...

The board is getting power to turn on a Blue LED but it's fans and other things will not turn on.

Are you sure that you have the front panel connection connected to the right place? We see people connect to the serial header sometimes. Make sure that you are connected to the two red headers next to the memory. If you still do not at least get the fans to spin up than try removing the connection to the case button and use something metal to bridge the two headers.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I have already tried bridging the two pins with a screw driver and nothing happened. Any other ideas?

If you have already tried another power supply than something could be shorting out. Try the board outside of the case. You can use the box it came with. If you are using a CPU heatsink that has a metal retention bracket that mounts on the bottom of the motherboard try removing the retention bracket and holding the CPU heatsink down with your finger. If you have a 680i SLI or 780i SLI than there is a power button on the board you can use as well as the bridging method to turn the board on. If that doesn't give you some fans at least than make a support ticket at http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/Help/Support.aspx and PM me the ticket number.
