I was wondering if there was any interest at Bjorn3D in overclocking for "boints"?
http://www.hwbot.org/hwbot.do

Maybe Bjorn3D could set up a section in the forums for the bot and some of the sweet overclocks I see here could be entered under the sites name?

Obviously the urge to overclock is fairly strong here and this would add a bit of fun to the mix as well as some exposure for the site.

All the best -Pete :icon_tiphat:

That seems like a good idea to me..it would give us possibly some more users, and more links coming back to the site which can help Alexa a bit.

Lets go people, get up on Hwbot !!!

Here is foor anybody that dont know hwbot:

Hello, stranger!

Welcome! You are probably wondering what hwbot.org is all about. Well, we specialize in gathering information about computer hardware, especially processors and videocards, but recently we started gathering memory and motherboard specifications too. Not only do we keep the technical specs for the tech junkies, but we also keep track on how fast they are.

Using our hardware comparison tool, you can compile your own list of processors or videocards you want to compare in a matter of seconds. We generate a head to head comparison chart for you based on over 60.000 other systems. It gets even better, if you benchmark your current computer, you will be able to see how your computer compares to the hardware you are interested in.

As hwbot is very well suited for people to compare systems with each other, it has become an important place for overclockers. We keep lists of the people with the fastest systems around the world, and the fastest communities. We even have a botservice which allows people to submit benchmark scores on their local forum, and still participate here. This botservice is so popular it's being used by over 300 communities, in 14 different languages.

So, welcome to our community! Don't forget to register. It takes only 20 seconds, and you'll be able to compare your computer to then thousands of others, and chat in our forums. If overclocking interests you, be sure to check out the currently running overclocking contests and win great prizes! You'll also be freed from this annoying welcoming message. :)

I thought that too the first time I saw the thread, and noticed it hadn't been replied to so I took a look at it. I made the team for us, so start postin those benches!! I'm going to post some when I finish this CPU work unit probably sometime tomorrow after I get back from work.

What databases? I just made the team so that we could upload benchmarks, when Scott gets on, I'' give him the information and he can set things up with the forum if he chooses.

ohh ok . i had to make a new member and give that info to hwbot ( so they can update the rankings ) then make threads and give the id of the thread and the post id of each . its not hard just a lil confusing @ first , this way peeps wont have to sign up for hwbot just post a score in the proper format ie. username - score - cpu & speed - video card used and speed and provide a ss of it or a link showing that score . if ya need any help please feel free to ask ..

okies . Miles will guide ya on how its done . also u may wanna see if the active members would participate in this bc its done by shear numbers ( not just the highest score ) but everyones input into this . same prinicpal as folding , the more peeps submit the better the teams overall score .
