View Full Version : Quad-SLI 9800GX2 Vista only sees one!
Vista is only seeing one of the two cards (It sees both GPUs on the one card)
When I boot without SLI Bridge goes into windows fine, but only has one card, when I plug sli bridge in and boot, bios and everything works but windows just sits at a black screen (after the loading graphic they have) I've waited 30mins + and nothing.
I had the system working quad-sli last night.:help:
System:
EVGA 790i Ultra (had xfx but raid didn't work)
2x XFX 9800gx2
E8400 3.0Ghz CPU ThermalTake fan
4gigs Corsair memory 19v 7-7-7-20
Rosewill 950w 67.5Amp powersupply.
Nothing is overclocked. System temp is fine.

My guess is that Windows is choosing a different port than what the BIOS is choosing to display to. Look for the blue light on the ports of the card that will be the primary port for display on these cards. If you tap F8 before Vista starts and choose Low resolution mode you should be able to reinstall the drivers which should reassociate the display to the port you are plugged in to which should be port 1 of the top card.

64bit is not limited to 3.5g.

64 bit is actually 16 Exabytes. =)
Are both of your cards showing green by the power and you are connecting to the port with the blue LED when running quad? Does each card work by itself?

Both cards work individually, and are Fully powered.
Perhaps then I have an independant issue pertaining to the motherboard, as vista poops itself whenever I insert an additional stick of my memory. (I have 4 2G sticks)
