View Full Version : problem with 680i the system wont start

specifications:
x-gear 666cs
pentium 4 3 ghz hyperthreading
2048 mb ddr 2 A-data
coolermaster 520 watt
xfx 8400 gs

I got this mobo yesterday.i installed it,but the case doesnt have power and hdd led cables.the system wont start, all the fans stay still and i only see a blue led on.i took all the connecters out and connected them again.but nothing happens.i hope i have provided all the nessecary information.this my 2nd mobo. i hope its still alive

Are you connecting the fans to the header or are you using molex connectors? Sounds like a PSU issue.

i am using molex connecters for all the case fans.

Ok that runs seperate of the Motherboard. I believe you have a bad Power Supply. Recommend you purchase new one.

Make sure you are connecting to the correct front panel headers. Try bridging the two red headers next to the memory with a screwdriver. If it powers on and it doesn't power on when you have the case button connected to it than you have a faulty case button. We also see people connect the front panel connections to the serial headers sometimes.
