No display problem with 8600GT and 8800GT

Hi,

I have problems with both my XFX 8-series card:

1. 8600GT - both DVI ports no longer works, I need to use a VGA adapter to get the display working.

Shuttle SP35P2 Pro, Intel Q6600

2. 8800GT - no display at all.

Shuttle SN27P2, AMD 5000+ Black Edition

Both cards are 7 months old. I tried resetting the bios, same problem and I've tried both on another system (Abit X38-based system) with the same no-display issues. Both systems are up and running right now with 7600GS cards.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with them?

If they both do the same thing in another system I would have to assume the the cards are faulty. Is your monitor from the 8600GT system working fine on DVI with the 7600GS?

That is correct. Both systems and monitors work fine with the 7600gs as a substitute video card.
