I might be buying a moped!

Well I was helping my dad move stuff at an antique shop when I came across a Yellow 1977 Volorex Moped for $450. My dad told me he was friends with the seller and that I can get it for around $380. It runs on gas and these things get like 40-60 miles per gallon.

Right now I am trying to scavange as much as I can get by friday as that is when I am going to put a down payment on it with my paycheck. I will try to get some pics tomorrow of it.

It is very cool looking and was imported from France. If I get it I will be laughing at all of you who just bought an SUV and paying $50 a day in gas! :icon_tiphat:

You must be talking legally. I have driven all over Illinois and people really fly on some of the highways i.e. Rt 55, 57, 64, 70. I always set my cruise at 72 mph and I get passed like I am sitting still. I have a friend that is a state trooper and he told me they won't stop someone until 75 mph unless something looks wrong.

I have over 15k miles of travel on I95, I set my cruse at 90mph all the way and have never gotten a ticket. I don't tailgate and I don't drive crazy/lane change, cops would rather stop that.

Well I get paid tomorrow so I am going to put a downpayment on it. Sorry for not getting any pics lol. I am sure I will get some tomorrow as I will be right there.

Its going to cost my about $400 with tax, and I will probably put $250 down on it so I will still have a little pocket cash left.

That's the oddest looking machine I've ever seen...LOL It's an interesting thing. I've never seen a moped with the engine on the front wheel like that. Should be fun to play with though. ;)

I need to get a paint job on it though. I real cool one. I just need to find a decent auto body paint place.....
