We bought the XFX nForce 790i Ultra SLI MOB 2 weeks ago, and put an Intel 9300 CPU on it, with the Cooler Master fan, and an nVidia GeForce 8600 Video card, and finished it off with 8GB Patriot DDR3 RAM.
The system was exceptionally easy to assemble, and I even had the Fry's tech install the CPU and Fan for $10, just to be sure I didn't break anything. I get the system assembled, and it has been freezing (no segv, no errors, just stops cold in its tracks) ever since. I've checked and rechecked cleanliness of pins, pluging, and shorts more times than I care to admit. We decided to try and upgrade the BIOS, since there had been a few threads on the forums recommending this.
We downloaded the P05 update, and ran the utility to flash the BIOS, rebooted, and the next thing I know, I don't see the XFX Logo, or anything else for that matter. So I decided to start from scratch, and cleared the CMOS (both by battery and jumper methods) The system still will not boot from the cdrom, or even beep for the video card detection, just fans spinning.
...any ideas, suggestions, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

definately you are in the wrong forum so you might want to PM one of the mods or something to move it into the motherboard forum.

As for not booting up, is there a button like f9 or something that can load old bios settings back? Like a dual-bios on the board?
