Hi, well a few months ago I had a problem with my 8800GT which was bought in Hong Kong while I was on holiday. I reside in New Zealand, therefore upon getting home from holiday back to New Zealand I realised that the card was faulty and to which the XFX help desk agreed and referred me to Pine tech in Hong Kong to have it replaced. Now this was at the end of March when I sent the card to Hong Kong and it took them a month to assess it and said that a replace ment will be on its way.

Therefore supposedly the replacement card was meant to be sent from Hong Kong back to New Zealand by the end of April... It is now almost the end of June and I am still yet to receive my replacement card, plus it has been a week now since the XFX help desk person replied to my ticket saying that they will track it down for me... I supplied the RMA number and everything... This is really taking way too long, especially taking almost 2 months now since the card is supposedly "sent"... Even shipping via sea only takes about a month and a half maximum... and to think I spent quite a bit of money to send the card back in the first place which arrived and was signed off in Hong Kong within a week...

Sorry for the big rant, but I don't know if this is really supposed to take this long and I feel I've been patient for long enough now... basically the whole RMA process started from 9th of February when I first contacted XFX, then card was sent somewhere between late March and early April, then at the end of April it was said that a replacement will be sent. It is now heading towards late June and I am still yet to receive my card.

Ticket#159633 - any help would be appreciated

I've messaged them at the end of May asking them what's happening and asked about how long should I expect it since it was sent from Hong Kong to New Zealand. They replied saying it should be 5 weeks, which I feel a little let down as that would mean they're using shipping via sea which is pretty much less than 1/2 the price I paid to have it sent to them with it being secured and tracked and must be signed to be released. A week ago, they said via my ticket that they will try and track it down for me, so I promptly gave them the RMA number and the supplier name (Pine Tech) within the same day. I am still yet to hear anything back from them...

I wasn't given any tracking number or anything...

Tried calling XFX directly?? Good question, when you sent in the RMA I believe the paperwork had your areas contact number on it. Have you called them? I will forward on an email but my usefulness is limited to the North and South American RMA's.

thanks guys

I just got word back from the xfx support, and apparently the company is in stock take period and the card will be sent on the 7th of July (to HK?) I think the person meant to New Zealand. But I can't help but feel this is a bit rediculous considering the whole RMA process started in February and the replacement card, as I was told, was supposedly sent out to me at the end of April...

looks like another month of waiting...

alright just got a follow up to this...

apparently the people at pine technology sent the card to the shop that i bought the card from which is in Hong Kong. They never told me about this until just yesterday, plus they are trying to say that they just followed what was filled out on the RMA application form on which I filled in the shop's address ONLY BECAUSE I WAS ADVISED BY THE HELP DESK TO DO SO. The guy sent me a delivery notice stating that the card was sent on the 9 May to the shop and offered no help to get my card back for me. Now I'm lucky that my mother is going to Hong Kong to visit my grand mother, therefore I have asked her to take my receipts, the delivery notice and the RMA application form to the shop to see if she can reclaim my graphics card.

I am absolutely furious with this lack of communication and understanding between the people at the help desk and the supplier. Especially after stating clearly at the help desk that I reside in New Zealand and I am sending the card to Hong Kong. So why the hell has the card been sent to the shop in Hong Kong instead of back to me in New Zealand? Now I just hope I will get the card back and not lose NZ$300 (which is something like US$227) just because I followed the instructions given to me.
