i finally got everything working on xp pro except the figer scan thing which i dont care for and the wireless card. I downgraded this for a friend and she really needs the wireless card to work. I tried using the xp drivers on the hp site and those were a bust. I was wondering if there are any drivers out there that work. ive tried looking but i cant find anything and my bro (Nataku) is being lazy and wont help me.

You'll have to know the manufacturer and model of the wireless card then see if the manufacturer has a Vista driver.

It's usually accessible from a screw panel on the bottom of the laptop. It is on my ZV6000 anyway.

If there's no XP driver on the manufacturers web site (there should be HP is just bungholes about supporting non-loaded OS) then you might have to go to a Wireless USB Stick or PCMCIA wireless card.

there are xp and vista drivers. I went from vista to xp. I tried the drivers on the hp site and they are not working. The device is seen as a network controller. I tried to do a manual update of the drivers but they are not accepting them.

I got it fixed. I found out that its was an intel wireless reciver and not a broadcom as was stated by every where i went. Thanks for telling me to open it up and check the model number. It saved me a lot of time that i would have wasted.
