Has anyone tried this new soundcard? I'm interested in the 790i's compatibility with it. I understand that it is shielded against interference, but is it any good? My X-fi Xtreme Music is in its last leg and I need a new card.

We haven't done any testing with it so I can't speak for any little quirks the two platforms may or may not have with eachother but a quick google search did show a few people running them together. The last BIOS update had to do with PCIE x1 devices so make sure that you update to that if you get the card.

Yeah honestly the fact that the P05 version 2 fixes PCI-E 1x problems is the reason I posted this. It looks like a nice card. But if you guys do get around to testing the 790i ultra with the X-Fi Titanium PCI-E please let us know how it works out. Thanks again for the speedy response!!
