Ive been applying to jobs all over, and applied to random places like Mcdonalds as a last resort. Of course, its the first place to offer me a job. I have an interview monday. I'm just wondering whether I should take it, or drop it and hope another place offers me one? =|

A job in the hand is worth two in the bush.

It seems that I always get more jobs offers when I'm working than when I'm unemployed.

The first question recruiters always me is, "Where are you working now?"

Take the job, if another comes up that you like better then quit Micky D's and work there. Thats the Best Advice I can give you.

You wanna make money; Stay Employed, Don't wait for another job.

Cheers.

Its a crap job so i dont think it would matter. Its not like your getting a job from Nvidia then quitting 2 weeks later to work for the CIA.

Ha ha thats about it, you don't legally have to give 2 weeks notus expecially at Mc donalds.
If you feel you want to tell your new company that you will give your 2 week notus and you will start after.
If they can't wait for you to start then give Mc D's 1 week or none, no worries.

But untill that happens get employed, no one wants to hire someone who is not already working! The older you get the more true that is.

Good luck with your new job.

okay thanks, I'll accept it =)

that is, assuming I do well with my interview..

I heard they ask you all this philosophical stuff.. why is teamwork important? why did you choose to work for us? etc

more tough than i thought for a mcinterview

More likely you'll hear questions like "Do you speak English?" and "Do you have any communicable diseases?"

After you have worked at Mcdonalds, a lot of employers will be interested in your applications.
I know its like this in Canada.
You work hard and other employers know it.
Its not easy working at MikiDs

Yea it is lol. Least when its not in the main city. I mainly had to deal with truckers.

the job interview was slightly less difficult than I thought. srpeters18 had the right idea. all they asked was when I can work, then said they'll call back in a week or two. waste of two bus tickets. anyway, another question

If another place calls asking for an interview, what should I do? I'm still status pending with mickies

Go to the interview. You don't even know for sure if McDonalds has hired you for sure. Them saying "We'll call you in a week or two" is not an obligation on their part and it most certainly doesn't obligate you.

If some one else calls for an interview you go do the interview.

Mickey Ds may or may not call and your not committed to work for them.

Some many years ago I ran a burger joint for a friend that was injured for a while. It wasn't really great coming home smelling like burgers every night, but on the upside if ya pass an over eaters anon meeting ya can have some fun with it.

My interview was 'So this is what we have to do. Lots of hard work. Up to it?" Me says "Yup" She says "Ok this is what we will be doing" *Shows me stuff* "Any questions?" I say "Whats the schedule like?" She says "Its gonna be pretty random cause were open 7 days a week. But we close pretty early so that makes it better. Also you wont work more than 2 sundays a month" I say "Pretty sweet" She says "Ill give you a call by friday" *we walk to the front*

hehe easiest thing ever.

If you get the chance to interview for another job. Go for it. Everytime you go for a job interview, it gives you experience and what an employeer may ask you, and then it will be easier for you to answer the questions as you have heard them before and really don't have to think as hard. I have a good job now, but I am always looking for a way to advance myself. I try to get interviews for every job that I apply for, but this does not always happen.
