lol.
There is a way to disable the sleep and power buttons on the keyboard.
I once had a keyboard that had the power button right under the delete key, it was quite nasty.
Go to: control panel -> power management -> advanced, and just change the settings there, it should work.

Yep, I know what you mean. Thanks God i do not have a Keyboard that has a power button. I could customize it to be a power button though. I think Sleep mode is alright when you actually want to go into it, although I did have that problem though, but it was a bit different. It went to sleep mode, and then I clicked on a button, the system started up, although the screen was not showing anything. Then I had to do the 4 second power reset, and the computer didn't boot. So I had to reset the system BIOS by holding down the power button again, and then it worked. It's so stupid. Sometimes it does not give me any problems, but I also had a problem that everything got back to normal although the mouse and keyboard was not working. It makes me mad.

I used to bump the sleep button quite a bit, so I eventually got smart and remapped it to do nothing.
Not sure about Vista, but you can also configure XP to never use Sleep Mode, and have it permanently disabled from within the Power settings options. I eventually just did this instead. I either shut everything off or use Hibernate if I need to leave stuff open and ready to resume on later, personally.

I most certainly disable these right off the bat on a new install.
Especially after the problem with 8800GT 's resuming from sleep mode. When they were first released the drivers with them had an error (in Vista at least) that would shutdown the GT and pressing the needed buttons would not bring it out of sleep mode. Only fix was restarting the computer.
