View Full Version : Ram Voltage Changing by Itself?

After setting my Corsair ram voltage manually, I've had instances wherein the Ram voltage changed (to a very high level) by the Bios without a manual change in settings. For example, yesterday I set the ram voltage a little higher to 1.825 using the Nvida Control Panel. On restart, I had a BSOD for some reason. On restart after that, I checked the ram voltage in the bios and found it way out of range - about 2.8 something. Thankfully, the ram still appears to be working. Has anyone else experienced such an anomaly?

I had the same problem. Would happen after using nForce System Tools. It made no difference if I set voltage in System Tools or directly in the BIOS (to 1.7)--the voltage would mysteriously jump to a higher level on rebooting. I deleted all of the profile files, and the problem hasn't re-appeared.

stop using nfore overclocking use the bios only . then see how it works . rule of thumb never trust any software for overclocking , it allways goofs things up with motherboards ..

Right, thanks for the info guys. All comments are gratefully accepted. I've set my voltage in the Bios now and do not expect to have further problems.

OK, thanks Raptorfury - It has not changed so far. I did advise XFX support of this issue with the Nvida Control Panel.
