Hi everyone,

I have my QX9650 set at 333x11 (3.6GHz) it idles around 111-120F, under load close to 130-140F max.

Is this too high of a temp?

I think it is the thermal paste i used this time (I was trying a new liquid cooler). Default clocks is around 33C

What thermal paste is recommended?

and I just have to put this in here, somehow I don't know my X-Fi card mysteriously works.

Get some AS5, it should be the only Paste you ever use.

i find as5 over rated IMHO .

It is $5, why try to be cheap on something that cheap?

It seems to be fine right now. It's at 3.5GHz (350x10 w/ FSB 1400). At idle the highest is 33C which seems fine to me.

What's a good FSB to push? It's got a pretty nice cooler on there (ASUS Triton 75).

i find it makes no real difference . the difference in temps is if the cpu is flat the cooler is flat and how its being mounted . you might see at most a 2 degree difference . my temps are allready extremly low for a quad . the as5 wouldnt make it any better ...

the best fsb i say is 400 ( 1600 ) nvidia shows you a quad pumped Bus not to be mistaken for fsb .

140F max for .6ghz increase? It could be worse. I bet if you turn up the fan (if you're using air) it'll max out in the 50's! That'd be cool, I think but bear in mind that I am like a level 1 OC guy.
