What is the best Mushkin ram for a 1066Mhz memory standard slot? I am specifically referring to the EVGA 750i FTW motherboard. Anyway, the question remains the same. What is the fasted mushkin ram that will go in such a slot? Preferably just some plug and play. But if it has to be set in the bios, that is ok.

I'd try out the new ascent line, the one that was reviewed here a while back.

The best bet would be going with these.

It is very easy to adjust the timings, otherwise you can set memory to SLI-Ready Enabled, and it will set the timings for you.

Performance on your board will be best, linked memory mode , sync, do 1333FSB , with 667 memory, should outperform the rest by alot.

667 memory? I may be wrong here but isnt that lower memory than PC 8500?

Yes, but 1066Mhz on your motherboard, (or any memory speed normally) will be out performed by running sync

Hmm, i may be just a newb, but would you care to explain why?

Because the memory is not waiting for instructions from the CPU and the CPU isn't waiting on the memory. They're synced, so they run much faster together.

Thanks for the great explanation srpeters18 .
Couldn't of said it better

So is there a wa to sync the faster memory? The 1066?

Sync at 1066Mhz would require at fsb speed of 533Mhz, which will likely be beyond the capabilities of your motherboard.

It is the 750i FTW, so i think that while it may be at it's limit, the board could reach it.

And this is just called "Sync"ing the memory?

It would depend on the cpu. quads normally will never hit those speeds, dual cores may, but with lots of voltage going to the nforce spp, which isn't good for lifespan of the board, active cooling would be recommended.
