I just bought a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme CPU Cooler! Once it gets here, I'm going for 4.0GHz!! Will keep you updated.

Anybody wanna take bets?? Im confident he wont get 4ghz stable. To be stable i wanna see atleast a 12 hr orthos pass..

4.0GHz is a stretch.

Trust me, if I have to put this thing in my refridgerator for 12 hours of orthos, it's gonna happen.

All I can say it GOOD LUCK!
I'm running SUPER-STABLE and quite COOL as well, with my current E6600 clocked @3.2GHz!
I managed once to clock it to 3.6Ghz, but never managed to get it stable @3.6GHz on Air (using CoolerMaster Hyper 6+ Air Cooler).
I also doubt you can reach 4.0GHz on AIR, but hey, it'll always nice to see you try that...
I'll cross my fingers for ya...;-) GOOD LUCK!!! :icon_tiphat:

Thanks! I've gotten 3.4~ stable, but that was in my old case and was way too hot. Haven't messed with it much in this case although the temps are a lot lower in the Antec 900 than they were in the XION.

You're welcome! :icon_tiphat: But hey, I don't want to let you down, I'm just saying it'll be very hard (if possible at all) for you to get it past 3.6GHz stable...
You should be happy/satisified if you'll manage to get it stable @3.6GHz on AIR, even with the Antec 900 Case and the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme CPU Cooler...;-)
KEEP US UPDATED!

Will do! I'm also gonna do ALOT of cable management when I put in the new cooler, so I should get a good amount of temp headroom.

my e6600 did a 3.9 suicide run, (Look @ my sig) on the TRUE, but nowhere near 12h bench stable. Even on low vcore, 3.6 started to show its limit in the summer. ( going up to 62-65 degrees)

WOW!!! :jawdrop: 3.9Ghz is VERY impressive!
I guess some people can reach 3.6Ghz and be stable for 12hrs or more, depending on their chip, stepping, etc...
That's on AIR I'm talking about, of course. I you go water-cooling, I'm pretty sure a bit higher (and stable) clocks can be reached. ;-)

Best run I did with my E6600 in SuperPi, this was with a TRUE but using a 94 CFM fan,

That's a really good overclock!!
EDIT:WTF is with that voltage???

That voltage is amazingly low!

WTF is with that voltage???
CPUz tends to not show the correct vCore with Core2duo chips.

What program will show the real voltage then? I need a good accurate reading for when I make a run for it.

I don't recall what the actual voltage was now, other than it was very scary, 1.6 something or other. The version of CPUZ in that screenshot never read the voltage properly at that time. The screenie was from April of 2007 I think.

Wow! That's a long time ago. I've got mine running at 3.3GHz right now, and did 1M Super PI in 16 seconds. Idle temps are 46 and 50, load is 63 on both cores which isn't bad, but not good either.

WOW!!! :jawdrop: More than a 4GHz overclock on E6600 SuperPi-stable and that's with AIR cooling!!! AMAZING!!! :icon_tiphat:

Cheating I'm afraid, took it outside when it was only minus 14 degrees Celsius with the windchill.:wink:
This is a far better display of what it can do inside,

I wouldn't call it cheating, I'd call it CREATIVITY!!! :dielaffin:
And hey, even 3.8GHz is quite impressive! ;-) WELL DONE!!! :icon_tiphat:
