I really wanna find out. I got my G Skills up to 1066mhz with the 601 BIOS update. I think I fixed my video playback problems by backing down the RAM Timings a bit. I was running 4-4-4-12 @ 1000mhz; I changed them to 5-5-5-15 @ 1066mhz. I want to see if I can keep those timings at 1300mhz!

What about 1200mhz?

On my P5e Deluxe I think I can get 5-5-5-15 @ DDR2 1200 @ 2.2v.

Edit, saw you have 4 sticks, you can't get to 1200.

What CPU volts do you have also?

VCore 1.21 and why can't I get 1200mhz with 4gb of RAM? Are the rumors about 1066mhz cap for 4gb of RAM on Nvidia Chipsets true? Say it isn't so!

All I can say is this X48 chipset is perfect, I do not understand why anyone else would get something other then a Intel Mobo. And I have a GX2 that is SLI.

You're right but I don't have an X48 mobo and I am already running SLI Mode with 8800 GT! Honestly, I don't see the performance gain being high enough for me to buy an X48 (the 58 is just around the corner) and I have serious reservations about the 9 series cards by Nvidia. I see their sales as a graduation for Nvidia for assessment of graphic solutions market control; it's just how I'm seeing it.

I would upgrade but I'm going to be deploying in about four to five months and it's just not wise for me to be buying into something I cannot enjoy-- I'm sorry, Miker.

The only reason I entertain the idea of X48 is for DDR3 benchies but I'm just daydreaming, you know?

thats be pushing it . the only real way of ans that question is tring to get the memory to go that high . but it may require u to loosen the memory up to bout 6,6,6,18 timings . me personally the only good chipsets are intel based . the nvidia ones do however have a lot better memory bandwidth then intels chips . and nes since you goin to be gone soon it would be best like you said to wait for the x58 chipsets to hit the market .
