I have had a new build on the drawing board for months now. I finally get it together. I found my missing MS Software that my wife threw away. I found it sitting on top of the bin thank God. Anyway. I install my OS and when I went to activate it microsoft says invalid Product Key. I tried it again making sure I typed it in properly. Same thing. So now I have to call microsoft to find out what the hell is going on.
Second I download Windows live one care. I use it on my other two systems but OOPS again!!!!!. Microsoft software is not compatible with Microsoft OS. GIVE ME A FRACKIN BREAK. So now I have to either upgrade to Vista 64bit or buy a new A/V software.....

Naw, it all depends on what she throws away.
At least, she's kept him. So far.

one of the things that tick me off is those activation stuff as well. when it doesn't work right, it's wicked annoying, but I hear when you call Microsoft, things get sorted out pretty quickly...
don't use Windows Live Care unless you have to. better off using some freeware/open-source softwares alternatives, such as Avira, Comodo, ZoneAlarm, etc.

Yeah this is the same software I talked to you about. I was lucky to find it before the trash guy got it.

64 Bit not necessarily is better...there are lots of programs that still don't work with it.
Nuance is a big corporate for this, their Dragon Naturally Speaking does not work for any operating system running 64bits. My customers who are doctors and lawyers have to wait another year or so for this to happen.
