So I got my RMA processed and received a new board today. After signing for it I opened it up and found the NB sink somewhat smashed. The top rail of it (with the Nvidia text) is detached and the part of the sink above the NB fan pins is bent sideways. Therefore the NB fan would have nothing to attach to..............

OH on top of this, there is white thermal compound smeared all over the NB sink and around the CPU socket.

The board was freaking packaged into a ~3' high box, which leaves almost zero clearance for the NB. Heck, I could even see the deep indents the NB left on the cardboard.

I need my desktop for school and I was resting on having a functional computer today... I'm sure the motherboard will work, but I will probably have to just mail it back in on monday, so is there even a point? This is RIDICULOUS.

XFX, this is incompetance at it's best... my original 790i's memory controller dies, I RMA the board (during the process I had to call ~10 times because most of your support employees have no idea what they are doing), and now I receive a smashed board. Even if it's FedEx's fault for smashing it, it was YOUR responsibility to send it adaquately packaged.

What do I do? I can't afford to be without my destop and I can't afford to use a broken board... thanks XFX for making me jump through hoops.

PM me that ticket number and the RMA number and I will have someone contact you. Can you get a picture of the package and the board to be able to email to me?
