Great, I'm sick.

I was being sarcastic in the title when I said "Great". In case you didn't catch on.

Started at the doc's Friday. My temp was like 100 (Fahrenheit). So he did the basic checks (ear, throat, etc) and he said everything looked normal. Then he said it was probably the common cold, and the coughs going around.

I felt perfectly fine Friday and Saturday. When I woke up this morning, I'm coughing up that flemy stuff, and my throat is sore as **** right about now.

I caught a particularly bad strain of the flu about 10yrs ago which literally knocked me off my feet. I remember being so weak that I passed out and hit the floor like a sack of bricks. Too bad my face hit the bathroom sink on the way down though. I woke up to find that I had sliced my nose open and blood was in my eyes.

I started getting an annual flu shot after that and haven't had so much as a cold since then. I know the flu shot doesn't protect you against the common cold but for me it seems to. Either that or I've just been lucky.

I got the flu shot too, last Thursday. IIRC.

Ohh well. I guess that's life.

I haven't had the shot in a couple of years and haven't been nearly as sick as I did when I was getting it.
