I had plans on dying my hair black, for a few months now (never got around to it).

Now, my best friend is getting his hair dyed black. All my friends say he's starting to rub off on me, and I'm acting like him.

So if I dye my hair black, everyone's gonna think that I'm copying him.

This sucks.

Well just ask yourself What are you dying your hair for? If it is because YOU want to do it. Then forget those other people. Remember you are your own person. Don't let what others think of you affect who you really are.

If you really WANT to dye it black; maybe do it later, or you can dye it som other colour (like Miker said). If you really like the colour, do it later on, then people wont care as much.

If i had went through school istening to what the other idiots had said when i started dressing scene i prolly would have went emo as well becasue of the stupid **** the other kids said. then if i dye my hair, EVERYONE will ask me why i did it, and just won't stfu. THAT is the pisser, and all my friends will think i'm copying my bud Kyle, who's dying it soon. (didn't get it done today). it irks me, only cause ppl will think that i'm copying, but actually i had no intentions of copying him. oh well. like you said, the others can just shove it up there ass.

In my opinion (and my opinion only), I would only color my hair when I need it. When it starts turning gray..........

I would try a temp color first to see if you really like it. You may decide it is not worth the trouble, then again you may like it. What do the leaders of your clan (i.e. parents) think? Have you talked to them? Don't tell them that you want to do it because some else is doing it or has already done it. Who knows, them may even support you in it.....

Remember - Be a leader and not a follower (don't fall for peer presure, but be yourself).

Parent's aren't too excited about it, but they'll still let me do it. The point of this thread was to explain that my bud is dying his hair black, and I have been wanting to dye mine, but ppl'll think I'm copying my bud.

Not so worried about it anymore though! I talked to him and we're both pretty excited about the whole thing, and we can't wait to get it done! w00t!
