Other than the high pricetag, that is one nice board :thumleft:

It is a nice board, so far all the X58 boards they pretty proud of them.
Guy got the world record on ORB with a couple of 4870X2 in CrossfireX with this board.

The specs on page 2 of the review say that it supports up to 12GB of RAM, but page 3 says that it supports up to 24GB. I think the specs are right.
Also, the manual says: "Due to Intel spec definition, X.M.P. DIMMs and DDR3-1600 are supported for one DIMM per channel only." I think this means that you'd be limited to 6GB when using X.M.P. or DDR3-1600.
I don't like these limitations, and I don't see them on most other X58 boards.

It supports 12GB thanks for catching that oversight.
What it looks like to me is that XMP is supported with 3 sticks of ram, and moving to 6 sticks you'd need to set that manually.
I should have another 6GB kit to test with pretty quick, until then I can't really tell you.

I just bought this exact same board but I was assuming or under the impression that the LCD EPU would come bundled with the board itself.
The confusing thing is that I called ASUS on Friday and they were not 100% sure if there were two flavors of this MOBO.
All in all, I am still without the EPU LCD which I was expecting. :frown:

man you are loaded for jumping onto the Core i7:). I do not think this board actually comes with teh LCD but the OC/Pamls that actually comes with it. It's like 40 more expensive though.

There's two flavors, P6T Deluxe, and P6T Deluxe OC Palm Edition. Nowhere in the literature does it say that it comes with the EPU LCD.
It's a good board your going to like it.

Thanks, I am looking forward in using it around January when my birthday is up.
I am choosing the I7 Core 940 chip. Should be fun.
Hmm...wasn't sure about the two flavors of the Deluxe edition but thanks for the info.
Apparently I can always purchase this EPU lcd later...I think it's pretty cool and it comes handy.

Does this mean we can put in 12 Gb of DDR3-1600? I'd probably only have 6, maybe 8, but just good to know.

I've run 12GB in it at 1600 but you have to set the timings manually.

Thanks...I am going to run on 4 for now and maybe 8 sometime next year.
Will see.
I bought the Corsair Dual Channel 4096MB PC12800 DDR3 1600MHz Memory.
Should be coming tomorrow or Wednesday.

Make sure it'll run under 1.65v they're serious about he voltage limit.

OCZ confirms that XMP is designed for 3 sticks and that with 6 sticks you need to tweak manually, (but could be board variable).
