Just wanted to know by the giga techs what they would recommend from their product line that would be the best board for the i7-2600k for folding with one gpu.
Basicaly what is the best oc board with the least crapp added. Like a P67 with only one pci-e x16. and really good for OC. no extra sata controllers. no frills and whistles.

Often the D3 line in gigabyte's line up is for more budget oriented system. the D4 is often for mainstream where it may come with extra power or raid, or features/ports. The D7 or D5 are often for enthusiasts.
If you are looking for a cheaper board, I would say, look into the D3 or possibly D4 board.

I do not want a budget board. Sorry if I was not clear. I like the UD4 but I don't want the extra stuff on the express lanes like 3.0 USB and Marvell controllers. But still want 8+2 or 12+2 power.

that maybe hard since there is limited number of PCIE lanes available on the P67 chipset (same with Z68) and most of these boards will support SLI and the PCI lanes often will be shared with other hardware. I would say if you really have no need for some of these features, just disable them in the BIOS and you should be fine.

I know what you are saying. I know the limited number of lanes to the processor. I know that the Vid slots can only do 1 @16x2.0 or 2 @8x2.0 but there is 4 lanes going to the other slots. I was kinda looking for just the slots for GPu only. Like having 2 @ 10x2.0. Just having P67 USB it provides and just the sata it provides. One NIC and simple sound.
