To push me to over 200K per day avg I had 4 machines running. 980x, 2x i7-2600k, i5-760 I shut down the 2 Q9400's they are doing other things now. So not bad for only 4 machines. and the i5 dosent do but 12k ppd.

The 980x is always busy so I don't have it fold much, but this last week I did.

Don't worry I have to shut down the 980 and some other stuff also for a project. My numbers are gonna drop. Someone will have to take the #2 producer spot from me.

see how you are. i'm still wating on my rma so my folding is being done on an AMD 939 x64 4400+ system. in other words only on the 9800 gt in that box and another just like it part time. the only thing keeping my #'s out of the basment is a buddy throwin in for me part time.

Outside temps around 100F. Inside, the swamp cooler is not keeping up. I had to back off on one system until we can have a few cooler days. If only we could set the hours we fold.

use task manager to start and stop the clients at specific times?
I don't want to guilt anyone into burning up their gear, or being moved into the doghouse. I just figure every little bit helps. James if she puts her foot down... I don't know what to tell you, other than to use the most handy phrase a married man can have at his disposal... "yes dear"

James86
06-22-2011, 03:49 AM
I'm looking into running Logmein or some other remote access program to shut it down before I get home
But if I win this month I'll put the card in my HTPC because it's always running anyway
And that's the first phrase I learned when we got married a happy wife is a happy life

Are you kidding me I say "Yes Dear" to my girl and see yells at me. She dose not like that phrase.

I had to stop some folding sue to heat. I should be getting the air return in today. :)

Blacksmith1

Josh, my guess is someone before you misused it and ruined it. or you need to say it without sarcasm dripping from your voice...

Dude, Hook all of ur exausts together with dryer heat piping crap, the silver stuff, and drill a hole out side, and make it exaust out haha. Or attach it to your dryers exaust and while its pushing out, it will also suck the heat from the computers out cause its pushing out so its making a vaccume.

There, no more heat issues hahaha.
