The OCZ Revodrive Hybrid is the combination of a 120GB Revodrive and a 1TB HArd drive for the ultimate in speed and capacity. Here we will test the real potential of this unit.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?d=yIl2AUoC8zA (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?a=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:yIl2A UoC8zA) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?i=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:V_sGL iPBpWU (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?a=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:V_sGL iPBpWU) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?d=qj6IDK7rITs (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?a=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:qj6ID K7rITs) http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?i=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:gIN9v FwOqvQ (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Reviews_at_Bjorn3D?a=Q3cci1vcd8c:bmIKo1K5VGQ:gIN9v FwOqvQ)

Shannon, can you clarify one point for me? You state that this "Must be used as the install drive" I am assuming you mean the win boot drive here? If so this requirement renders this product usless for people like me who can not boot from the PCI-E slots.

Hi Blacksmith,

the unit will cache whichever drive is the boot drive. this is something that may be corrected in future software. but if your system is unable to boot from PCIe then either way the product likely will not be a good solution for you as just like a raid card the orom has to be envoked and this card performs similarly.

Thanks for the question.

Zombie thread arrrr.

IMO shouldn't the board detect the card as a RAID card still? My old NF2 Ultra board doesn't have a "boot option" for anything but the IDE ports but I have a SATA RAID card in it. Even running Windows 98!

Technically it "Should" but I usually dont count on that as ive seen issues with newer cards due to large orom and theyre ability to deal with it and allocate addressing space for it :)
