I'm looking for a video converter that is native 64bit and convert to formats compatible on Play Station 3 (e.g. mp4).

Free or Purchase? I have used several “free” pieces of software that are supposed to be 64 bit but are pretty crappy. The most stable for me is Handbrake.
I also use two for simple home video editing/DVD authoring etc.

PowerDirector 9 Ultra - 64

Corel VideoStudio Pro X4

Try HandBrake and see if it meets your needs first. If you want to do something a bit more, you can download some trial software for the other two.
On all three, my i7 is fully loaded.
Hope this helps.
