Well it is not really supported yet and does not have a client that takes advantage of it. But messed around with the 7.x beta today before going to work and got her started on Folding. I hope Stanford comes out with a Folding@Home client soon for it. If it does well then may buy another 680 or look for a GTX690.

What do you think the PPD will be?

rediculously high. they have more cores than two 580's.

Any who pays that much is a sucker. The people who buy those probably have enough money to not care. They just want the best of the best, probably buy 2, and the backend is probably a 3960x.

Like P.T. Barnum once said there's one born every minute!

True but they're still a sucker.

depend on how they fold, and of course assuming i win the lottery, I'd like to pack 4 of then in one folding box.;-)

As far as folding goes and if winning the lotto was a scenario I would build a couple 4p rigs instead.

A GTX 690 would have to net an insane amount of ppd for me to consider using one for folding; but then again I would never spend 1k on a video card, ever.

BTW: The GTX 680 can work as two GPUs if you add it as gpu-index 0 and 1 it's running as gf:114 and gk:104 at 37-45k PPD
