Recently we have lost a couple chikiens one duck and two rather large geese, one of which scared everyone. We have been trying to figure out what was taking them. this morning my roomate saw it, and told me where. below is a picture of it's foot prints. All I know is the it's a feline. It may be a bobcat, it may be a florida panther. She didn't get a good look other than it's color which makes me think panther.
2917 That is a regular bic lighter, not one of the small ones.

Unfortunatly unless we could prove that it was attaking a human, even if it ate a million $ race horse it's major fines and jail time to kill one. They are endangered. We had the local trapper out to set camera traps today, and if it's a panther we have to wait while he aplies for a permit to trap and relocate it. after a thorough search of the property, he and i could only find tacks that would come from young one's, But Joi said it was bigger than her pitbull which is at least 55-60 lbs. She went online to look up images of the different cats in our area, bocats and panthers, and says it was a panther. a buddy of mine that stopped by here this morning saw it also and called me mid day to say the same. "It was a Panther, and you know I've seen them before." I'm hoping I can get a picture of it without getting eaten

well the problem is you have too many fresh meat around your area. only thing you can do is build big tall fence

very tall. a full grown florida panther can clear a 12 ft fence with ease. And the ******* has gotten so many of the chickens now that I'm only getting 2-3 eggs a day instead of the 5-8 i was 2 weeks ago. nothing like fresh eggs from free range chickens

well then set up barb wire on where the panther will land when it try to clear the fence .i am sure they can't change where they want to land in mid air and it will be fun to watch too

I sincerely hope you are joking. These animals are now very rare. I want it gone, not killed or injured. we can replace the livestock.

well the camera trap caught several cars, a deer, and 2 mins later a coyote, I think it was following the deer. if it's a female I wonder if I can get one of the pups. that would be a cool dog to have. no cats so far. But something set the camera off several times with nothing in the image.
