Had this asus MB NIB sitting in my closet since May 2011 it was going to be a build for my oldest son. However my gigabyte board bit the dust so I swapped in the asus board. Problem is I cannot run my memory in triple channel, and the system only recognized 4 of the 6 gigs of memory, however cpuz and other monitoring software saw all 6 gigs. I tested each stick individually with both windows memory diagnostic and memtest 86 and they were good. I then tried one stick in each slot and boot up only to find dimm slot A1 won't boot. Now I am waiting on a reply from asus tech support but wanted to get some other opinions.

Sounds like a Bad slot. I have had this happen on a system right out of the box. Good luck with tech support.

I appreciate the second opinion. I was searching around the web and many others have had similar issue with memory not being recognized, and with lots of ""solutions"" being offered.

still have not heard back from asus, but this mornings boot up came back with an error that my CPU OC was unstable, the problem is I don't have the CPU overclocked.

What is voltage of your sticks? 1.8, 1.65? I have gotten random OC error messages like that when my memory was under-volted.

Sorry Pablo for the delay in responding. My sticks are 1.5V.

I finally got tired of waiting for a response and called asus and they agreed to a cross ship. So hopefully should have this problem resolved soon.
