I like the job! Well I naturally love hardware hahaha.
actually applied to some tech sites looking for one, read their requirements and so on... just giving it a shot even though I know it's impossible since I am just too far away. Maybe if I visit taiwan or hong kong then I might just find something good :)

Anyway, just to be brutally honest.. there are some tech sites plagiarizing reviews from others, faking contests and so on...
I sure some do get a feel of that in those sites. I'm confident to say the staff here does an awesome job and do everything truthfully :)

You should be fine though. Haven't had a problem with that, ever! I even had some incidents where I accidentally got thermal paste on the CPU contacts or in the pins in the socket. Pretty scary stuff, but all the hardware I've had since like 2005 are still working fine even though I've been through so many disasters.

True. I'm a pretty careful person so I do tend to "pamper" as I have heard of really simple mistakes completely destroying a setup. So I just go all out on being careful till the last screw is in and the case is all packed up.

I'm not actually planning on firing it up again, so I didn't mind. It's more just like an ancient artifact for viewing now.

Holy Crap! I had not been looking at the postings until a little bit ago. Wow!! That's some serious stuff. Going to put the memory in my main system and re-use the existing memory in another build for my son. The two tumbdrives will be put to go use. I will be able to move some files around on my server when I clean it next month.

I will send it to the electronics recycle guy in town along with 3 defective HDD's and a fried 775 mobo that I need to dispose of as well. None of it will go in a landfill. After that, I will then have 5 sticks of the same memory - 2 sets of matched memory (one set of 3 sticks and one set of 2 sticks). I have a friend who has a 1366 board who would like to barter for the 3 sticks and I am re-building an H67M-ITX that can use the other 2 sticks. I rarely venture away from Corsair brand. This is why.

did you check weather your memory is undervolted? or rather did you run the memtest with bios voltages set higher than whats on the memory label?

Yes. Ran it under fail safe settings first and got a 2 errors (1333) then set it to the XMP and got a boat load. The first set that I sent back was doing the same on my GB X58 board. The replacement set for that grouping of three was and is running fine at 1600 now. The additional set just starting doing this on the Z68 (sig) a few weeks ago. Had been fine for a year prior. I have some G.Skill in my main HTPC and it has been nothing but perfect.

On my old 680i board, when I populated all four slots I had to bump up the juice a bit or I would not be able to boot the board. That was never the case on the X58 board. I would set the XMP then leave the voltage at Auto. Using GB's software, I did notice the memory was running just a small fraction above 1.5 - usually 1.515 or 2 something. For the Z68 I took two sets of matching pairs and plugged them in. Everything ran fine until the BSOD's. I should have mentioned I did do tests with one stick at a time but for only a few hours. Three were clean, one threw errors.

The G.Skill is great stuff. About the only consistent thing that comes to mind with both sticks is they were in machines that I turned completely on and off everyday. Would that have played a part? The GB x58 with the first replacement sticks runs 24/7.

Ive never used G.Skill but i do know Corsair can be a pain in the butt at time when running Memtest or any ram error check.

Ok, well I got "a" package today, but I'm a bit confused and a little irritated by it at the same time. The package I was supposed to get was this:

So my question is this: Did someone else get my prize pack and I got theirs, or did I receive the prize pack for one of these guys because they didn't claim theirs and I'm still going to receive my real prize pack very soon? As I said, I'm confused and irritated a little bit. I actually have plans for the prizes I was supposed to get, and had none for these since I wasn't expecting to receive them.
