Nice! It's pretty cheap, includes USB 3, SATA III, and all the high-tech features. I love the fan xpert feature, as well - great idea by ASUS.

That said, I really hate the aesthetic of the non-ROG ASUS boards. I hate the variable-length fins of the heatsinks and the light blue of the paint. Heatsinks can be replaced, but PCI and RAM can't be painted (well, w/out a lot of risk).

wow that's a really sexy hardware!!
nice design with that long heatpipe from chipset to power phases. I wish asus z77 boards are that cool!! 8)
any news about AMD's FM1 line? I'm getting this feeling it would be discontinued soon... FM2 APUs are waaaaaay more promising

I wonder when AMD based motherboards will have pci ex 3.0 ... Many AMD fans are disappointed that they're still stuck at 2.0

I mean, it's more of a bragging right at this point - no graphics card really utilizes the full PCI-E 3.0 bandwidth yet.

Really? So this (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_DELUXE/) motherboard isn't your style? Or this (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/SABERTOOTH_Z77/) or this one? (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Maximus_V_Formula/)

Dunno - I like them both a lot.

yep true. getting pcie 3.0 is more like futureproofing for now :)

But it's still better to have your motherboard supporting it for when a kickass graphic card is out which will be up to the mark :D

Good point. But I can't imagine that being before I find a need to get a new motherboard. Especially with Haswell coming out in mid-2013.

@Najiro
That's still a pretty nice motherboard. And it's ASUS....

Lol "it's ASUS..." QFT, right there. I love ASUS and Corsair.

As for the review, I liked it a lot. In general, most of the unboxings/reviews are about Intel boards - nice to see AMD get some recognition.

Thanks! :)
Asus boards are great! Good bios updates that sped up my boot time, good overclocking board too.
I was able to OC my i5 to 4.8Ghz with that :)

Yeah they are. 4.8 is pretty good - on air or water? I consider 5 Ghz to represent a top-quality overclock. Try to squeeze those last 200 out!

Lol :( Bad place to be when a new processor comes out, imo.

Just using a Corsair H50.. Used the AI suite on that. It was my first overclock LOL. Anyway I lowered it to 4.5Ghz and OCed it at the bios :)

Hey that's really good. Nice job! I don't think anyone really keeps their CPU at 5 GHz, except on a full water loop. A 1-time OC is great.

Thanks! :) Can't really go higher.. room temperatures in tropical countries can get hot in the middle of the day and I don't have AC. H50 is not really an excellent cooler as well. I'm happy with 4.5Ghz :)

Sure, sure - it's something to be happy of :D

Do you like the Philippines in general tho?
