It's worth nothing that McAfee has no relation with the current McAfee company. It's too bad how he nearly lost all of his money and has been living a fairly obscure life. Sounds too much like a Hollywood movie.

News Update:
The hunt for the former security software guru continues in Belize. Apparently, he never left his home but was still unseen by the authorities. Just how did that happen? He told CNBC that he's been inside his compound the whole time. Hence, McAffee claims he doesn't know anything about the murder.

John McAffee was indeed in the limelight for the past few weeks. Can his action-drama-comedy-packed life be enough for a good movie?

He's been deported to the United States instead of Belize where he's wanted for questioning.

Then some random spy will break McAffee out of custody , apparently the guy he killed was a double-agent on the run hiding in different countries. (Insert some borne identify scenes in your head). Then then the spy and McAffee would be stopping a major cyber terrorism attack that will be launched by aliens... Ohh yeah..
LOL!
Well his life is indeed something like it was from a movie X__X

Here's a summary

1) McAffee's neighbor found dead and he's the suspect, police looking for him but wasn't found at home.
2) Police hunting him which said he fled his home. Apparently he didn't leave his estate, he said he got up to the beach and covered himself with sand to remain undetected during the search (+1 suspense scene)
3) McAffee finally fled the area but got caught in Guatemala (+1 action scene)
4) Had a heart attack during his capture in Guatemala (+1 drama scene)
5) Under interrogation and to be deported back to the US, now looking for somebody to film his life story LOL

Didn't he get a camera crew to film and record him during his arrest? Weird.

This would make a great movie the guy seems very strange. When he was hiding from the authorities in Belize he was doing interviews and even called into a podcast I listen to.

Geez. If his lawyer is smart, he should say that McAfee is unfit to stand trial. Or something along those lines - at least there's a lot of evidence to back it up.

As for how interesting a movie would be... maybe a documentary. It's kind of like a conspiracy theory - you're intrigued about the subject, but you get tired of its absurdity after a while.

And Another Update....

With all the action John McAfee is doing since November 11, the McAfee Antivirus company is also affected by the negative attention the company's founder is getting. Now a subsidiary of Intel, the company do consider changing its name but will continue using McAfee for now. McAfee co-president Michael DeCesare said... "Look, we are not happy it's going on, we are happy that is seems to be coming to an end."

Should the company change its name to remove its association to the now-notorious founder?

Dunno - I don't think it means that much. I didn't connect McAfee to the antivirus until it was explicitly mentioned that that was the case. I don't think it matters that much - if anything, it makes people check out what this crazy man invented. Although trusting an antivirus created by someone like that... maybe they should.
